I'm trying this:

var div = Ext.get('myDiv');
var manager = div.getUpdateManager();
manager.update({
url: "http://someurl/",
nocache: true
});

In IE 6.0 it's working just fine. In FF2 I got this:

Error: [Exception... "'Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open' when calling method: [nsIDOMEventListener::handleEvent]" nsresult: "0x8057001e (NS_ERROR_XPC_JS_THREW_STRING)" location: "<unknown>" data: no]

I'm trying this with YUI-utilities.

are you sure you are loading the "update code" from the same domain as the web application?

I'm sure I'm not :)
That's the problem.
Thanks a lot.

umut, Ajax 101:

You cannot load from any old domain you like. You can only load from the domain that the page originated from.
