View Full Version : [3/17/08] ux.ProgressPagingToolbar - Now with animation for the ProgressBar updates

22 Jan 2009, 7:29 PM
I was working on this tonight, and I halted due to some bugs in the 3.x framework.

[update 3/17/08]
I've updated the ux so it has animations. Also for the 3.0 users, the plugin is now available in the zip file.

Wow this looks awesome!!

My thought would be to watch the StatusBar class. It also broke with the new stuff in Ext 3, so they haven't ported it to 3 yet.

Cool, i'll keep an eye out for it. :)

Question though - what does the status bar have to do w/ the paging toolbar? they are two separate classes. :-?

Ping for anyone subscribed, example code has been attached, will setup a demo page later today :)

As to what they have to do with each other, both Status and Paging Toolbars extend from Toolbar. Toolbar changed to Container.
Would be nice if ProgressBar, StatusBar are implemented so they could drop in to other containers. Just for example, maybe someone would like to drop ProgressBar into LiveGrid, so may want to just specify it in standard toolbar.

Great points MJ.

That would suggest that we could use a plugin to accomplish the integration.

I think for Ext 3, a plugin could be created relatively simply, now that i read your msg :). I am going to shoot for that next dude. I think i have an approach that will work :D

Pretty cool stuff, I just thought this would actually work like that

| ##### |instead of

|########## |when displaying 6 - 10 of 50.

Sure, I've seen that, I just thought it'd make more sense showing just the page in the progress bar that's actually being shown in the grid instead of the whole part from page one up to the current one.

But maybe that's just me. ;) Still great stuff as it is!

You could do both by having the progress bar indicate where in the recordset you were and a marquee or other indicating the percentage slice of the records you are looking at?

Something like the attached pic?
