View Full Version : [FIXED] [1.2.3] Splitting bars of border layout bleed through a Window

24 Mar 2009, 6:09 PM

The horizontal (top and bottom) Splitting bars of border layout bleed through Windows. In fact the splitting bar comes though any part of a window and the windows content (including flash content: e.g. Open Flash Charts).

The vertical splitter bars to do bleed through.

The cursor will change to the spilt move cursor and clicking will move the spilt bar rather than interacting with the content in the window or moving the window.

This makes it very difficult move the window or interact with it if the title bar of the window happens to be over a splitting bar.

A similar fixed issue was reported for modal dialogs in:
[1.2] http://extjs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54349&highlight=window
[1.1.4] http://extjs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54084
Has this patch not been applied to 1.2.3 or is this a new bug?

Occurs in hosted mode, on IE 6 and firefox 3.0.7.

Note: This issue is visible in the Explorer demo.

Open the hello world window and then open the border layout.
Now drag the window over the north border.
The mouse pointer changes to the split icon even through the window

I am unable to reproduce this. Also there is only a west split bar. Are you sure that you also updated your css files?

Hi Sven,

It's in the Explorer demo on the main Ext site:

Goto: http://extjs.com/explorer/#helloworld

Click the hello world button and the window will pop up

Goto: http://extjs.com/explorer/#borderlayout

Then drag the hello world window up till the title bar is over the north split (see pic)

Move mouse to be in window title but over the border layout. Now click and drag - the split will move, rather than the window.

Let me know if you need more help.
