Hello again, here is my 2nd question.

This is an Internet Explorer 6.0 problem. I develop in firefox so I can use firebug, etc. All of the grids word perfect in firefox but when I view them in IE6 I only see the scroll bar at the bottom of the grid and not any of the data in the grid or even the column headings.

Any suggestions? below is a code snippet of just one of the grids. It seems they are all doing this.

var allcurrentgrid = new Ext.grid.GridPanel({
store: allcurrentstore,
columns: [
{header: "Host", width: 120, sortable: true, dataIndex: 'Host'},
{header: "Opened", width: 120, sortable: true, dataIndex: 'Opened'},
{id: 'alarmtext', header: "Alarm Text", sortable: true, dataIndex: 'AlarmText'}
],
autoExpandColumn: 'alarmtext',
title:'Current Proactive Alarms'
});

var landingtabs = new Ext.TabPanel({
renderTo: 'toolbar',
activeTab: 0,
layoutOnTabChange: true,
defaults:{autoScroll: true},
items:[{
title: 'Operational Impacts',
items: [ opimpactsgrid ]
},{
title: 'Current Pro-Active Alarms',
items: [ allcurrentgrid ]
},{
title: 'Network Status',
contentE1: 'orionnetstatus',
height: 700,
autoShow:true
},{
title: 'Network Pro-Active Alarms',
items: [ networkgrid ]
},{
title: 'Systems Pro-Active Alarms',
items: [ systemsgrid ]
},{
title: 'Security Pro-Active Alarms',
items: [ securitygrid ]
},{
title: 'Response Times',
autoLoad: 'mrtg/responsetimessummary.php',
id: 'responsetimes',
height: 700
}
]
});

Overnested!

Use:

var landingtabs = new Ext.TabPanel({
renderTo: 'toolbar',
activeTab: 0,
layoutOnTabChange: true,
height: 700,
width: 500
items:[
opimpactsgrid,
allcurrentgrid,
{
title: 'Network Status',
contentE1: 'orionnetstatus',
autoScroll: true
},
networkgrid,
systemsgrid,
securitygrid,
{
title: 'Response Times',
autoLoad: 'mrtg/responsetimessummary.php',
id: 'responsetimes',
autoScroll: true
}
]
});

that helps clear up the overnested discussions I saw on the forums. It makes sense adding more "items" inside of an "items" is nesting now.

How do you recommend setting the tab titles using this method?
