i have this in a Panel declaration:

new Ext.StatusBar({
"defaultText":"Ready",
"id":"-611779208"
})

the full panel declaration is somewhat like this:

new Ext.Panel({
tbar:[{text:"a"},{text:"b"}],
bbar: new Ext.StatusBar({
"defaultText":"Ready",
"id":"-611779208"
})
})

yet the tbar part could run correctly, but once i added the bbar part with Ext.StatusBar, my code halts, and all the preceding lines no longer execute. how can i get the bbar working then?

thanks for any valuable response.

Pasting this into Firebug's console works fine for me:

Ext.getBody().update('');
new Ext.Panel({
renderTo: document.body,
height:100,
width:200,
tbar:[{text:"a"},{text:"b"}],
bbar: new Ext.StatusBar({
"defaultText":"Ready",
"id":"-611779208"
})
});

"halts"?

No error message?

firebugs says type error: Ext.StatusBar is not a constructor when i typed
Ext.getBody().update('');
new Ext.Panel({
renderTo: document.body,
height:100,
width:200,
tbar:[{text:"a"},{text:"b"}],
bbar: new Ext.StatusBar({
"defaultText":"Ready",
"id":"-611779208"
})
});
in the console.

is this piece of code able to execute without any additional code? why did i get error message.

i am new to Ext, please be understanding if my question seems silly:(
