View Full Version : ExtJS and Blueprint

18 Jun 2009, 10:56 AM
Hello Everybody,

I am using Blueprint CSS for style along with Ext JS (ext-all.css). This is causing the grids, buttons, lists etc to appear out of place. Please see the pics attached - with-blueprint.png and without-blueprint.png

Has anyone used Blueprint CSS with ExtJS style sheets? Please advise.

Regards,
Vijay

I think this is the right place to ask this?
and I have the exact same query I don't want to pollute blueprints namespaces

first solution that comes to mind would be to put all extjs stuff inside a particular ( really unique name) class but seems a bit hacky, I m sure there are more elegant solutions out there,

anyone?

I have managed to get Blueprint and ExtJS to play together nicely, however I did it the opposite way you've suggested.

The only parts of Blueprint that seem to have an effect on ExtJS elements (that I've noticed so far) is the table styles in typography.css and forms.css.

To combat this I simply only applied the table and form styles to elements inside a container class.

For example if I there was no Ext needed in a particular part of a page I simply wrapped in in a div with the class 'no-ext'

I haven't done any extensive testing yet but this seems to work for me so far.

<div class="no-ext">everything here will inherit blueprint styles</div>

Hope this helps
