View Full Version : Replacement for AdapterMenuItem

8 Jul 2009, 9:14 AM
I used to use the AdapterMenuItem class with the hideOnClick set to false so that I could have a combobox within a subMenu. What do I use to replace AdapterMenuItem and/or how can I get the contextmenu to stop disappearing when I select a combobox option.

I'm interested in this as well. It's easy enough to add the old GXT 1.2.x class into our project but I'm curious as to why it was removed.

I needed an excuse to bump this post, so thanks for saying something. Unfortunately just re-creating the old class does not solve the issue because the issue is higher (or lower depending how you look at it) in the object hierarchy. So even though I'm using the old AdapterMenuItem class, the menu will disappear when I use a combobox within a submenu since the drop down goes outside the menu's x,y position.

FYI, i create a bug here:

The answer is "it's by design"
i removed my combobox and replace them by RadioButton (via a CheckMenuItem)

Good luck
