View Full Version : Omitting width for Ext.Window in IE7 causes display problems (ext 3.0)

I am trying to display a simple window using form layout containing a single text field. It displays fine in Firefox 3.5, but in IE7 I get a title bar (with no text) that stretches the full width of the browser, what looks like the shadow below it, but no window content content area or text field. If I specify a width, then it displays correct in both browsers.

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<title></title>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="ext/resources/css/ext-all.css" />
<script src="ext/adapter/ext/ext-base.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="ext/ext-all-debug.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

<script type="text/javascript">

Ext.onReady(function() {
var win = new Ext.Window({
title: "MyWindow",
layout: "form",
bodyStyle: "padding: 10px",
height: 400,
//width: 600,
items: [{
xtype: "textfield",
id: "userIDEdit",
fieldLabel: "User ID"
}]
});
win.show();
});

</script>
</head>
<body>

</body>
</html>

Is this simply a bug, an IE limitation or working as designed? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You need to provide dimensions. Moving this to help.

Thanks for the rapid response Evan! I thought maybe since it displayed correctly in FF it might be a bug, but wasn't sure (I'm relatively new to extjs, but I like it a lot so far).
