View Full Version : Excel style looka and feel for a GXT Grid

20 Aug 2009, 10:11 AM

I am trying to give a GXT Grid an excel spreadsheet style look and feel. The requirement is that the GXT grid should look like an Excel spreadsheet and also have features like tabulation and formula calculation, like in an Excel spreadsheet.

I have tried various css styles to give the Grid the Excel look and feel, but none of them seem to give the desired output.

Has anyone implemented such a look and feel for a GXT Grid?..

Would appreciate your suggestions..Thanks in advance..

I am using the source code of Live Group Summary Grid given in the GXT 2.0.1 Demo page.

I have to change the look and feel of the Grid from the one given in the demo to the one in the thumbnail given below.

The sample code attachments for your reference are also attached below.

See this one, it's not a grid but a new component, come from http://www.feyasoft.com, and it will open source in future.

The Feyasoft component has many good features, I agree.
Guess one will have to wait for a future GXT release for a similar component in GXT.
