View Full Version : Bug? Warning when compiling code

28 Aug 2009, 3:34 PM
Dear GWT Team,

we are using GXT 2.0.1 with GWT 1.7.0 and Java 6U14.

When we compile our code, we get the following Warning from the GWT compiler:

[WARN] Checking all subtypes of Object which qualify for serialization
Verifying instantiability
com.extjs.gxt.ui.client.data.BasePagingLoadResult<? extends java.lang.Object>
Checking parameters of 'com.extjs.gxt.ui.client.data.BasePagingLoadResult<? extends java.lang.Object>'
Checking type argument 0 of type 'com.extjs.gxt.ui.client.data.BasePagingLoadResult<Data>' because it is exposed as an array with a maximum dimension of 1 in this type or one of its subtypes
Analyzing component type:
[WARN] In order to produce smaller client-side code, 'Object' is not allowed; consider using a more specific type
According to a post in the premium forum, such warning should have been fixed with the release of GXT2.

However, we are using (and planning to license soon) the latest GXT2.0.1.

Any idea how to avoid this warning, although the previously mentioned post states that there is nothing to worry about?

Please read the bugforum guidelines and post a samplecode that is demonstrating this.

I am not seeing this with any GXT 2 app.
