View Full Version : [OPEN] [CLOSED][3.??] Msg.alert width problem after being called a few times

10 Sep 2009, 6:43 AM
This is a bug specific to 3.0. 2.2 was working fine. Test code:

<title>Test page</title>
<script type="text/javascript" src="../../extjs/3/adapter/ext/ext-base.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="../../extjs/3/ext-all.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../../extjs/3/resources/css/ext-all.css">
function test()
Ext.Msg.alert('this is a test', 'this is a short msg');
function test1()
Ext.Msg.alert('this is a test', 'this is a long long long long long msg');
function test2()
Ext.Msg.alert('this is a test', 'this is a very very very very very very long long long long long msg');
<a href="javascript:test()">test</a>
<a href="javascript:test1()">test1</a>
<a href="javascript:test2()">test2</a>
If you click test first, test box width is good but further clicking of test1 and test2 result in very narrow boxes, and if you click test again, the test box also becomes narrow (width is only as wide as title string). If you click test2 first, the test2 box width is fine, but a few clicks of other boxes would result in the test box width be set to title width again.

Which version did you test?

There were several bugfixes for this between Ext 3.0.0 and Ext 3.0.1.

I was using 3.0.0. So it was fixed in 3.0.1? I searched and couldn't find the threads discussing fixes for this problem.

Yes, this issue is already fixed in the 3.0.1 release.
