Hello,

Although ExtJS 3.0 has better memory management, we are still experiencing memory leaks in our application. We have tried converting our custom components to xtype and cleaned up listeners using 'un'. It makes no siginificant difference.

Leaks are in IE 7 as well as FF 3. sIEve indicates many orhan nodes.

Do we have to do anything for memory to be deallocated?

Here is an example of ExtJS url that has similar memory problems:

Thanks,
- Mehul

Using the SVN build I'm seeing insignificant leaks (maybe 1 or 2 elements).

Please post a test case, see: http://www.extjs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71015

We are experimenting with a test case. Meanwhile, can you verify why the following dom nodes are shown as orphans in sIEve. Our test case is a simple one column grid (4 rows only) with a combo-box and a refresh button as toolbar items. The grid is loaded on a window when a button is clicked.

<DIV class="x-panel-body x-panel-body-noheader x-panel-body-noborder"/>

(The x-panel-body DIV leaks every time the grid is loaded on a window)

<DIV class="x-combo-list-item"/>

<DIV class="x-tool x-tool-close"/>

<DIV class="x-grid3-header-inner"/>

<A class="x-grid3-focus" />

I should have mentioned that when a button is clicked in our test case, we load 5 tabs on a window out of which one of the tabs is the one column grid.

Again, you need to post a test case, see here how to do it:

This thread has been in the INFOREQ status for some time with no new information posted. I'm going to update the status to CLOSED.
