I have a column layout with nine individual grid panels. Each GridPanel has three columns and, can have up to twenty rows. There are nine of these GridPanels contained in a Ext.Panel, with
a column layout. There are three columns of equal proportions. When the containing GridPanel is placed in a Ext.Window and shown. The performance is abysmal.
When resizing the containing Ext.Window. It take about three seconds, perhaps more,
for the Ext.GridPanel to adjust to the resize.

What layout/techniques etc... should I use to improve the UI performance. Maybe an absolute layout ??

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

You could try a HBoxLayout, but I doubt that it will be any faster.

If you really want a speed improvement you could consider using ListViews instead of GridPanels.

Thanks for the rapid reply. I perused the forms and found that there are serious
issues with Grid performance.

And. Thanks for recommendation of the ListView. However. What I'm trying to accomplish
is have a small box with items that be checked off. I have attached a screen shot.
The funny thing is. It renders fine when rendered in doc.body. But, when placed in
a Ext.Window, its slow as hell.
