Hi,

I have a form with a large number of fields. The form layout is the best for me in that case. But I would like to combine some fields in one line, e.g.

Birthdate [start] [end]

I tried to use the panel with two fields as children. Here is the code.

{
xtype: 'panel',
fieldLabel: 'Birthdate',
id: 'birthdate_range',
layout:'absolute',
width: 270,
height: 23,
items: [
new Ext.form.DateField({
x: 0,
y: 0,
width: 133,
id: 'birthdate_start',
name: 'birthdate_start'
}),
new Ext.form.DateField({
x: 137,
y: 0,
width: 133,
id: 'birthdate_end',
name: 'birthdate_end'
})
]
}It works well except for Internet Explorer 6. In IE6, the panel is not visible for some reason. I could not find a solution for IE6 so far. I do not want to reject using the form layout.

Could somebody give me an advice.

you might use one of following:

1. the example in http://www.extjs.com/deploy/dev/docs/?class=Ext.Container
2. ux - http://www.extjs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33162&page=7#62
