OK, OK, before someone tells me to read the FAQ etc I am posting because I have failed to nail this one.

I have discovered how to colorize rows, even dynamically, but I wish to colorize the area behind the rows.

Help!

Inspect the dom using Firebug and then apply a class to it. If you want to do it to a specific grid, then give the grid an id, then use:

#myGrid .foo{
...
}

chur bro, I understand how to referece the object I wish to apply a style to but I cannot seem to identify the DOM object BEHIND the grid-rows. If I attempt to merely apply background-color or background the object is not applied - even using !important.

Aha, the wonders of Firebug!

Today's lesson was brought to you by the objects
x-grid3-scroller
x-grid3-row

and the config option
bodyCssClass
