View Full Version : [CLOSED][3.0.3] Localization Problems

We are evaluating EXTJS to replace some existing technology in a commercial project and so far we are very impressed.

However, one thing I have noticed is that the localization Javascript files seem to be a bit of a mess. For example:
1. The files seem to be in various different encodings rather than a standard encoding such as UTF-8 ('ext-lang-th.js' is an example of this).

2. The files which do appear to be in UTF-8 appear to be malformed so do not appear correctly ('ext-lang-zh_CN.js' is an example of this).

Does anybody know if there are any plans to address these issues? Our application has support for over 10 languages and it would be great to be able to use the built-in translations rather than having to get them re-translated at our cost (especially if we will be purchasing licenses for EXTJS).

Best Regards,

This is a known bug.

The current JSBuilder2 incorrectly copies an ISO-8859-1 header before UTF-8 files.

Thanks for your reply.

Would the ISO header explain why some of the files appear to be in different character sets rather than UTF-8?
