View Full Version : Ext Js construct analogous to dojo.event.connect??

I have a cell renderer that creates an instance of a ProgressBar after the renderer returns:

renderer: function(args) {

(function(){ create progress bar instance}).defer();
return (markup with renderTo ID)
}

I need to obtain a ref to the progress bar instance after its created so I can manage the progress value in an Ajax callback.

In dojo I would setup a dojo.event.connect() between the anon function and another endpoint that would get invoked after the instance is created, then get the reference to the progress bar and add it to another object.

What is the best way to handle this in Ext Js? The progress bar is bound to a grid column and there can be several instances.

have you considered using @Animal's progress column plugin? Probably would make your app faster and easier to maintain.
