View Full Version : 1.1RC1 Bug: ProcessSuccess returns "response.argument has no properties"

Hey Jack, I think there's a bug in the processing of a form in RC1. I have a dialog that has prerendered HTML form code (using HTML instead of ext to create the form). When I submit the dialog, which has a handle to submit the form, I get "response.argument has no properties". This was working fine in 1.0.1.

Can you console.log the response?

I console logged the response object, but I don't know if it will give you much information. In the ext-all-debug I console.logged the response and the response.argument. Response returned Object and of course response.argument returned undefined.

are you using Form class?

If so, I've found this "bug" since ext v. 1.1b1: http://extjs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8413
then i gave a chance to BasicForm and it worked.

Seems like Form class is for "Adds the ability to dynamically render forms with JavaScript to Ext.form.BasicForm."

I was thinking if wouldn't be better if the Form class would clever enough to deal with a existing markup form or creates it dynamically if it doesn't exist, all this in a transparently way. One class would make all the work in both cases.

I'm not using Form class nor BasicForm for this. UpdateManager's formUpdate is the function causing this error. I'm taking a simple form from the DOM (created with the toobar's addDom() method) and trying to post it to the server to do a file upload and get this error. The response back from the server has responseText and responseXML. There's definetly an issue with formUpdate in RC1 that breaks file uploads. Perhaps you are looking for something that is only added to when a form is created with BasicForm?

Is the form an upload?

Jack, JCA's scenario is similar to mine. I'm doing a formUpdate with a file upload.

This should be fixed in SVN.
