View Full Version : GXT-Maven-Build (Asynch issue , mvn gwt:run issue)

Hi all,
I am new to GXT, and started a project with normal settings as explained the extjs site doc. It worked fine. I love that. My problem is the issue with Maven build i used.please explain me from the scratch.
I had 3 project built using maven as like this.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/maven-v4_0_0.xsd">

<name>Nightingale ERP Application</name>

the module 3 ui is for gxt and the module apptier is for the spring(dependeny created using the appfuse). and commons which is for utility.

Now I installed and did the process explained as like in the tutorial in extjs given for building application with Maven in GXT.

this is working fine , problem starts from here, i had to use the command mvn gwt:run
and here i was not able to run the same from eclipse run configuration.
question 1. How can i do that ?.
I already have 2 plugins Cypal and google plugin for eclispe.
Question 2 .If I am using the Maven to build
how can i use it in the eclispe ?

And i tried differnt ways to build the project, I did the application and tried using the command mvn gwt:run I was able to load the page. but the Async call back is failed
and showing the exception 404 .

So i just copied the war which is created and put the same in the external tomcat , Here it is worrking fine. I was able to get the URL and Asyn callback worked.

Question 3 . So wat is the difference bw the above ?

And Last I got grid , where i kept the base modal in client, say employee and i used a async callback to ;load the data in grid, this was workign fine in the normal gxt plugin , but if i try the same with Maven Build which i explined i was not able to do the same , showing the internal server error, ?

So if any can sort out the issues please help to go further.

Looking forward to hear from you all.
