I need to mask the page to make the users login before they can see the content..
Once they login they can see the page is there an EXT login component?

No one answers for 45 minutes and you get discouraged?

You could do some beforerender work making sure there is an active session.
You could check for a session and redirect to the login page.

However, to answer your question, no there is not a specific Ext-blessed "login" component.

Did you even bother searching? A login dialog is available here: http://www.extjs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67346

As for the rest of your application's "login" logic, that is something that you have to write - I'd start with @httpdotcom's suggestions, search the forums, read the documentation and FAQs. And when you do get a solution, post it back.

Thank you for replying,

Im discouraged because I didn't get any replys for my last question.
I've decided to give up using EXT as a GUI since my project is in C#.Net MVC and I need to get results done!, It is just taking me too long to learn especially as I know very little scripting.

I'll probably use Ext in the future when I have more time.

Good luck to you.

My good friend, you are too-easily discouraged. And yet, you are absolutely correct in judging that sometimes it's most appropriate to continue to dance with whatever devil you know best.

If you are well-versed in "fat client" technologies such as C#, and are now contemplating a "thin client" technology such as ExtJS (or any JavaScript/AJAX system), as you see it is quite different from "that other devil." However, you won't be able to long avoid changing partners...
