I get the following error:

"Firebug cannot find firebugCommandLineAttached attribute on firebug console element, its too early for command line <div id="_firebugConsole" style="display: none;"> Window about:blank"

when I try to run the following simple code:

"child1 = new Ext.Panel({
title : 'Child 1',
html : 'Child 1'
});"

on the console of firebug 1.5.3 using Firefox 3.6.

The code is taken from this screen cast:

http://tdg-i.com/58/ext-js-screencast-005-containers-add-and-remove

Help is much appreciated.

That's really a Firebug issue, is it not? Try googling for "Firebug cannot find firebugCommandLineAttached" (e.g., http://code.google.com/p/fbug/issues/detail?id=1380#c8)

Actually, I had already read that page. I don't have NoScript add-on, and running alert('hi') on the console and then clicking on the script tab didn't work either.

Hey there,

I am experiencing the same issue in firefox 3.6 with firebug 1.5.3. I have a feeling it is something to do with the HTML on the page i am trying to access because firebug works perfectly for most other sites.

Basically i can't even get an alert('hello world'); to work.

I have reverted back through versions of firefox and firebug and ended up with firefox 2 and and old version of firebug... and finally i can use firebug on my site again.... not satisfactory though, does anyone have a solution for us?
