I've got the following nested panels to make the layout I'm looking for. All seems fine until I use ext templates to modify the body of the innermost panel (labeled below as action panel). The height of the panel gets bigger, but all does not resize to accomodate. Specificaly it seems as though the outermost vbox container has a hard coded height that isnot changing based on the child panel resize. Suggestions?

Do I need to call some sort of resize function on the outermost panel? I searched these forums and docs, but wasn't able to figure it out.

Thanks,

var viewport = new Ext.Viewport({
layout:'vbox',
align: 'stretch',
items:[{
height:50,
width:'100%',
border:false,
layout:'hbox',
layoutConfig: {
align : 'stretch',
pack : 'start'
},
items:[{
....
}]
},{
layout: 'hbox',
border:false,
flex:1,
// width:'100%',
items: [{
flex: 1
},
width: 1024,
layout:'hbox',
items:[{
width: 200,
html: 'This is the action panel'
},{
flex:1,
html: 'This is the main panel'
},{
width: 200,
html: 'This is the info panel'
}]
,{
flex: 1
}]

Did you check http://www.extjs.com/deploy/dev/examples/layout-browser/layout-browser.html ?
