I need to add a custom icon in a TabPanel's caption (header) portion.
It's added as shown below, and it works in FireFox, but not in Chrome.

new Ext.Panel({
title: '',
region: 'center',
layout: 'anchor',
deferredRender: false,
items: [a, b, c, d,
{
tools:[{
id:'refresh',
on: {
click: function () {
alert('refresh');
}
}
}, {
id:'maximize',
on: {
click: function () {
alert('maximize');
}
}
}, {
id:'close',
on: {
click: function(e) {
alert('close');
}
}
}],
items:[MY_TAB_PANEL]
}
]

Further I notice, that if I add the same type of button in a *Panel*, then it will work in Chrome.

The screenshot below was done with the code above and MY_TAB_PANEL does have its own [tools] property. The TabPanel's tools are not active in Chrome.

In FireFox, both sets of tool icons do work.

Obviously I do not want that Panel around my TabPanel. I only put it there for testing.

Is this a known bug in the support of Chrome? I found no work-around in the Chrome thread.

Thanks,
Peter

I guess it is not supposed to be used. The fact that It renders does not mean it is supposed to work.
