  1. The Container moveBefore and moveAfter methods may accept an array of configuration objects or an array of components, but they are each documented as accepting a single item.

    Multiple items can...
  2. Why MixedCollection is still required if it's not used?

    Ext.define('Ext.container.Container', {
    ...
    requires: [
    'Ext.util.MixedCollection',
    ...
    ...
  3. Thanks, I noticed a difference... but these are configs and the grid is configured properly as documented, so there should be no error.
  4. If you feel this is a bug, then I suggest that you post it in the bug section and include a fiddle to reproduce this problem. IE8 and higher is supposed to be supported.
  5. ItemCollection doesn't subclass AbstractMixedCollection, so perhaps this assignment should be the following: :-?

    me.items = new Ext.util.MixedCollection();

    Ext.util.MixedCollection is required...
  6. Simple grid works in Ext JS 4, fails in Ext JS 5 and 6.

The following error results in Ext JS 5 and 6.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'scroll' of undefined.

  7. Did you consider that a view controller can listen to events from another view controller?

The 6.0 classic API doc shows a fake notice "You are viewing Ext JS docs. See Ext JS for latest stable."

When I click this notice I get a Not found error. This notice should not be displayed...

The "or `null` if a Class was found." description should probably be removed because it does not return null.

sencha -sdk js/ext-6.0.0 generate app RJO.weboe weboe classic

    I get an error:

Are we supposed to report issues such as unused code in nightly builds?

The method clearAll is defined, but I don't see that it's used anywhere.

Ext JS mostly uses single quotes which IMHO results in less visual clutter.

    Interestingly, jQuery recommends double quotes...

Many bugs fixed in Ext JS 6 will never be ported to Ext JS 5.*, so this is the best reason to upgrade to Ext JS 6.

The same goes for the inline doc which is massively improved in Ext JS 6.

Good list. The other improvement is the addition of promises and a megaton of inline documentation improvements.

Whoever worked on the doc did an amazing job improving it. I'd go so far as to...

I'd use Ext JS 6, which contains a ton of bug fixes some of which likely will not be backported to release 5.*

If you are two release behind, then I'd consider re-working at least parts of the...

  21. Is this going to break backward compatibility since Ext.Ajax.request already has a return value?

    Returns

ObjectThe request object. This may be used to cancel the request.
  22. Let me guess the answer for you... Backbone for routing and jQuery for promisses.

I'd be interested to know how they manage dependencies since this usually a problem on larger apps.

  23. Looks like the getApplication method is duplicated...:-?

  24. arnell, you should create a bug report in the bug section and include the fiddle.

At the minimum this might be a documentation defect, but these defects should also be reported as bugs.
  25. Looks like a bug? This should work according to the doc.
