Actually the problem here was, i was calling the ShowAutoComplete method on the Keyup event of text box. The auto-complete when provided with target control's id(text box in this case) automatically...

never mind, i solved the problem,
btw, does any one knows how do i store a id, name pair for auto complete. by that i mean, i just need to show the name to the user, but internally must be able to...

i am using AC of YUI and when i try and select and navigate through the auto-complete, it hides the content but the ac container is still shown. does any body know why this is happening?
