I checked and concurred the following:

with regard to a component life cycle:
1. at what stage can I query a component's dims (width+height)
2. at what stage can I query a component's parent component dims
Nowadays, Sencha touch has a built in one. Why do you need the other libs?

note that you can still skip all the new stuff altogether and simply include the sencha JS and CSS files in your index.html and still enjoy the framework...

hi and thanks but this is not the case at all.
I am not reffering to vertical centering, the problem is the horizontal centering.
