Looks like there will be a new Eclipse plugin. It's a little frustrating that the old one...

When you start a new Ext JS App, is there any way to set the sdk that will be used? Version 4.x as opposed to 5.x etc. Is there any way to point the command at an existing sdk on my files system? ...

What the heck? They already had a great Eclipse plugin that they never updated. Wonder if they're starting from scratch on this one. Really hoping for a consistent release schedule on these new...

Is development on the Eclipse plugin still active? If so, can you provide any information? In what time frame could we expect an update?
  5. Sad if that's the case. Architect is not only a very useful tool but also a great showcase for Ext's abilities. I hope it's still alive, but I just got a horrible feeling about it after Aaron left...

I care less about the exact period of time between releases - weekly, monthly, quarterly, whatever - and more about the predictability. Right now releases from Sencha seem to happen at totally...
  7. Kendo has charts, too: http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/area-charts/index

If you had already decided on angular + kendo, it would make sense to use these.
  8. So is the big announcement the pivot grid?

    http://www.sencha.com/products/extjs#pivot-grid

I've got to admit, I was expecting something bigger, more along the lines of someone buying Sencha or...

  10. I think he meant the one that was removed from the main forum selection page to make room for the Sencha is hiring add. I don't care if it's there or not, just pointing out it was removed from this...
  11. Wow... regrettable news. Aaron was there for a long time and he and his team did some fine work on Architect. He was a pro and will be missed. I wish him all the best.

    I wonder what the future...
  12. Ok, thanks for the response - you've officially piqued my interest. A Sencha focused on tools to make developers more productive with a stable Ext JS is exactly what I want to see.

    Looking...
  13. I just read this:

    http://www.sencha.com/blog/meet-the-senchacon-speakers-mark-brocato

It seems Sencha is working on plugins for JetBrains IDE's. I think that's great and could prove very...
  14. I happened upon an interesting tweet from Brian Moeskau today. For those who don't know, Brian was one of the original developers / founders of Ext. He left a while back but continued work on a...
  15. Sencha already confirmed that they are merging Ext and Touch.

The future of Sencha Touch as a standalone offering...
  16. Yes, the main forum page has been altered in several ways over the past few days. Here's what it looked like a couple weeks ago.

  17. Reported over a week ago but still haven't gotten confirmation that it is a bug.

I doubt we'll ever see an update in its current form. The last response given from Sencha was that they were "discussing it internally." But that was many months ago.

  19. I think they removed the auto columns in favor of something called Grid Builder. Right click a grid and choose Grid Builder. From there you can add the columns for a model.
  20. Add a new GridPanel. Select the Grid Builder option. Choose to Remove Existing - leave other items default. It almost works, but the Boolean column is still left in the grid in addition to the two...
  21. I was a little surprised there was absolutely no mention of the change in licensing policy. Maybe it will simply be ignored at SenchCon, too.

This is the bit that intrigued me:

    "We will be...
  22. I noticed another management entry removed from the team page within the last couple of days.

That certainly sounds interesting. Here's hoping most people will be positive or indifferent to the coming change and it will not be a policy switch spawning another 50+ page thread asking why the...
  24. Not 100% accurate. It looks like the Vice President, Worldwide Sales posted on the first page.

  25. This was mentioned earlier, but for the benefit of those not wanting to read through 50 pages, I'll repeat it. Jacky Nguyen, who had a large role in developing the Ext 4 era core libraries and...
