The reason I got confused with the return type is because Ext.promise is private class and a Ext.Ajax.request a pulic method should not return me a private object.

Ajax or Les whoever you are, atleast you dont talk about classes in ES6, you claim it not to have statics, singletons and overrides, so that shows your knowledge level on these things

Well I mention the next version of ExtJs they can support IE8/IE9 till Ext 6. Internet Explorer is dying. MS has already announced its end of life.
so they better prepare for it, else can be taken...

with ES6 class system you can still do overrides (component lifecycle hooks)
and it is no way different than how you would do it in sencha today
