Really? Angular + DHTMLX? I reviewed DHTMLX and implemented a complex reproduction of an existing system using that and EXTJS. DHTMLX does NOT have a consistent API. Although it was several years ago...
  3. I doubt you'd have to incorporate. Just have a side agreement and have one person purchase the licenses. As far as Sencha is concerned they've sold 5 licenses to 5 developers. End of story.
  4. I am using IE 11. Perhaps my problem.
  5. I've been coding EXTJS since 2008. However, one of the biggest pet peeves I have is finding syntax errors. I'm using RAD 9.5 (Eclipse) and the editors don't tag missing brackets, attributes, etc....
  6. Hi, we're deploying these to our sales force. It's one of those Windows 10 hybrid/tablet laptops (touch).

    On these laptops the...

I know Sencha used aliases for their classes when migrating for 3.x to 4.x. We use them for shorthand. It's possible you can extend those classes then just use your own alias. But if that's the only...

tgk121 Thanks for the feedback. Very helpful. I'll follow the progress of the eclipse (RAD for us) plugin.

Why upgrade when there's a bunch of stuff we don't use? We won't be doing this just for a plugin after years of successful development with EXTJS.

From looking at the JetBrains plugin on your website it doesn't seem to be an independent item that can be ordered, but is bundled with various levels of EXTJS. As an existing, legacy, customer I'm...

At SenchaCon it was mentioned that a new plugin for Eclipse was going to be made available. Is that still true and roughly when can we expect its release?

EXTJS 3.x put us into writing 2,000 line .js files. Not maintainable. The OO additions to 4.x are very much welcome and allows us to segment objects into their own files which also helps...
  14. If you're on 4.0.x then you should upgrade. Sencha made some performance improvements with the 4.2.x versions. We're on 4.2.2 and the grid and tree were much improved on both Chrome and IE 11.
  15. We're using extjs 4, but the 5 differences for our sake are minimal. If you're replacing an existing system then the challenges are greater. If you're building applications as pure extjs then it's...

    http://ui5strap.com

I explored this URL. Some cool graphics, etc. However, the number one feature for a business application has to be the grid! I saw no grid here, just some cool graphics. How...

We're on the 4.x release cycle so don't care too much about 5.x. Odds are we'll just leap to some higher release like 6.x or 7.x. In the meantime, here are the minor release dates from the 4.x...

In my opinion, EXTJS is alive and well and is a great product. Nobody else comes close. Even though 4.x introduced issues I think that was outweighed by the OO enhancements...and Sencha eventually...
  19. About 5 years ago I evaluated dhtmlx, Flex and EXTJS. DHTMLX does seem to have some great features on the surface. However it was buggier than the other two at that time. They also didn't have the...
  20. Agreed. However, I have no problem spending the time/effort to create a reusable case if I KNOW that nobody else is doing the same thing in parallel and if I know it will be addressed in an upcoming...

But how about those of us that use Eclipse/RAD. It's not like I have a choice with my company.

As usual, this was a good conference. This was my 4th SenchaCon and I wasn't disappointed...sorta.

Honestly, the facilities sucked. The conference rooms in which I sat had no tables so I was...
  23. We're on 4.2.2 and upgraded from 4.1.2. We feel that 4.2.2 is a fairly stable release. We are hesitating on upgrading to 5.x as we don't see a business reason given our requirements. And, even if...

I absolutely agree with this. We use EXTJS and have no need for the other stuff in the "complete" bundle. The plugin would be great even for purchase. I suspect that maintaining this package has two...
  25. I enjoy seeing other people's alternative advice. I always visit those websites. In the end, though, I always keep going back to Sencha. None of those other suggestions has compared to EXTJS in terms...
