[CLOSED] xtype: 'form' and nesting when using Designer
I am aware of the issues surrounding nesting form panels.
I am using the Designer to create one form and trying to use layout: 'form' so that I can display the field names.
I have developed a user interface that I'm happy with in the Designer (displays OK in preview) but when I export, I have to change every instance of xtype: 'form' to layout: 'form' except of course, for the parent form.
I could not find a way to specify this in the Designer.
Is this a problem or am I not using the designer correctly?
PS. 600 x 600 for a screenshot??? Couldn't you make it 800 x 600 at least???
PPS. Can't use upload manager in Firefox or Chrome - doesn't render properly

Hmm. I'm not quite sure I follow, as far as how your FormPanel and nested form layouts are arranged. To clarify, you have a FormPanel and then Containers (some derivative thereof, that isn't FormPanel of course) with layout: 'form'. No? That is the correct way to next form layouts. Perhaps a little more explanation will help me, I apologize. Or you can attach your project file and I'll understand right away ;-)
Thanks for your patience, I can be a little slow from time to time :-)

You will want to transform all of those FormPanel's into either regular Panels, or simply Containers. You can then set their layout to "form" and they will act (as far as layout is concerned) the same as a FormPanel.
Noticed the project file is 184.108.40.206. Are you getting update notices? The current version is 220.127.116.11.
Let me know if you have any troubles. You can make a backup of your project file in case your transformations don't go so smoothly.
Will update to regular panels and set the layout to form as you suggest.
No...not getting the updates in work...behind firewalls and proxies.
Ah gotcha. We have instructions to manually upgrade here: http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthre...o-xds-18.104.22.168 That forum post is always up-to-date for the latest version at the time. Let me know how the regular panels work out.
