No, this is not cool, this is straтge
You know guys, we've entered the contest because we thought the judging will be fair. The top 10 results are... well, at least not so good as I think they should be.
E.g. there is an application e-Resistible. This shows list o restaurants and menu of each restaurant. You can also order something there.
Our application (located at rsa.takeforce.com) does the same, exactly the same, but:
- it allows you to filter down restaurants by type, cuisine, price range etc
- everything is shown on the map, each restaurant, pizzeria, cafe, bar has it;s own icon, user can change his location clicking on the map or entering it directly and we show only restaurants within 5 mi
- You can select free tables for the chosen time, you can view information about restaurant including the photo gallery
- We also had the menu, but it was better laid out (I think
The only difference we did not had but this application has is nice design. However, we brought fully working prototype, which is much better in terms of functionality than this one. Functionality and completeness of application flow seem much more important to us than nice design which is usually the last phase in most of projects.
However this is not only about our app. This is about other applcations too. You've selected TubeTweet as a finalist. But this is an improved clone of the example shown in the sencha touch lesson bundled with the framework. The application is static, design is not really great, functionality is poor. And it will not become better - this is simply one more twitter client. But, hey, you can't even post there, so this is not complete client
Why not include Mobile Guest Services into top 10 instead of the stupid twitter which was implemented hundreds of times?
This is not about us who wanted to get into top 10 (but sure we would like to be there), this is about a bit strange criteria which were used for judging. Any ideas why they did not take any of 15 follow-ups instead of the TubeTweet?

Yeah, I thought the top 10 was kinda strange as well.
Seems like they mostly went for looks over functionality or usefulness.
ExtJS Extensions & Plugins: GMapPanel UX | HtmlEditor Buttons Plugin | Selection Enabler Plugin | Grid DataDrop Plugin | Additional Ext.Fx
Sencha Touch Plugins: Swipe Tabs | List Pull Refresh | Accelerometer Tabs

Wow! TravelMate is in Top 3 Finalists Sencha Touch App Contest!
This is a must have app for those struggling with language or currency barriers when traveling to foreign country!
but you have to manually type a foreign language on the keyboard, when you don't know this language...
with my application(http://oleandr.eu5.org/) you dont need to know any language. and it has working prototype
