Thread: Combox with Text ahead true and editable false?

  1. #1

Default Combox with Text ahead true and editable false?

I have a requirement in which type ahead has to be true and editable false for a combo box , because user should not be able to enter any value other then from the data store. Is it possible?

    Regards,
    Gargi

I use the forceSelection: true to achieve this.

    Thanks for the reply.
    I tried the following :-
    editable: false,
    forceSelection: true,
    typeAhead: true,

It didnt allow the user to enter any value.

    If i try only :-
    forceSelection: true,

then user can enter the value. But user can enter values which are not present in the drop down. Hence the value of the field will be empty.

    may be
    Code:
    editable: true,
    typeAhead: true,
    forceSelection: true,
    allowBlank: false,
    ...

This will make the field mandatory, which is not the requirement .
