Default Dependant cascading combo box fires an empty request

    Hello,

I would like to get some help with a simple cascading combo box scenario using Ext JS 4.

    • For my first combo box I use an Ext.regModel, an Ext.data.Store, and of course an Ext.form.ComboBox.
    • For my second combo box I also have an Ext.regModel, an Ext.data.Store and an Ext.form.ComboBox.
    • My stores get data from an .aspx page that delivers json.
    • The first combo box has a 'select' listerners that loads the store of the second combo with the paramter of the first combo selection.
    • This couple of combo boxes are inserted into a Ext.form.FormPanel object.
    My problem is the following:
When I first select a value from the first combo I see an appropriate request to my aspx page asking for the list of values for second combo and it is correctly passing the value of the first combo to do the selection.
BUT, when I go to the second combo and click on it to see the list of value, then the browser sends another request to the aspx page asking for the list of values BUT there is no parameter passing and then I get my second combo values wrong.

If I select a different value from the first combo and then click the second combo everthing works ok.

This problem is only with the first selection of the first combo.

I started this with Ext JS Beta 1, then I tried Beta 2, and I'm now trying Beta 3. The problem persists. I read that combo box bug was fixed, but I don't know which one.

Can somebody help me? Here's my code as an attachment. Pleas excuse a little of spanish.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Does somebody have a working cascading comobox sample for ExtJS 4?

I have updated my code to latest 4.0.0 release but the problem is still there.

Can you help me to get it working?

    Here's my updated code.

I solved this issue. My problem was that I was using the "mode" setting but I learned that I should use the "queryMode" setting from the ComboBox. I am not sure if this is new in ExtJS 4. I did not invented the mode setting, I copied that code from some samples.

    Anyway, here's the change needed:

    mode: 'local',

    and it should be

    queryMode: 'local',

I share this in case somebody may find this same issue.
