    To resolve missing close icon and aligment issues in 4.2 add this css rules in BoxSelect.css :
    Code:
    .x-boxselect-item-close {
    	width		: 11px;
    	height		: 11px;
    	background-image: url(http://cdn.sencha.io/ext-4.2.0-gpl/resources/ext-theme-classic/images/tab/tab-default-close.gif);
    	filter		: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(Opacity=60);
    	opacity		: 0.6;
    	top		: 2px;
    	right		: 2px;
    }
    .x-boxselect-list {
    	margin:0px;
    }

    You should be able to sort the store on load which in turn will show the boxselect items as sorted.

    On your store just put sorters: [FieldName] etc.

    PHP Code:
    var statesStore Ext.create('Ext.data.Store', {

    model'State',

    storeId'States',

    datastates,

    sorters: [{

    property'name'

    transform: function(val) {
                        return
    val.toLowerCase();
                    }
                }]
    });
    I have a sorter. The Dropdown is also sorted. But when you select one and it is added to the selected values this is not sorted the value field is not sorted automaticly

    PHP Code:
    {

    xtype:'boxselect',

    "fieldLabel""Select multiple states",

    "displayField""name",

    "width"500,

    "labelWidth"130,

    "store""States",

    "queryMode""local",

    "valueField""abbr",

    "value""TX, WA, AL",

    "stacked"true,

    "pinList"false,

    "growMax"150,

    "triggerOnClick"false,

    "filterPickList"true

    i'm upgrading one application from extjs 4.1.1.a to 4.2
    Without changing any source code, i have detected that now the boxselect fields don't show any value when loading from store.

    What version changes i have to look for ???

    I forked this extension on GitHub and fixed some Ext 4.2.0 issues:
    https://github.com/sunaku/extjs-boxselect/compare/ext-4.2.0

    I'll send a pull request to the author after I test it out a bit more.

    I hope this helps those who have already migrated to Ext 4.2.0!

    Cheers.

    I used my Ext 4.2.0 patches for boxselect for some weeks now and they seem stable.

    So I have submitted my patches for merging upstream in a pull request on GitHub:

    https://github.com/kveeiv/extjs-boxselect/pull/31

    Cheers!
