Default Why is my HTML 5 (w/Sencha touch) app great on Apple devices and horrible on Android?

    Background:
    • HTML 5 Sencha touch web app
    • Interactions include slide, flip, numerical interactions like a calculator
On an iPad or iPhone web browser, everything is incredibly smooth. Almost like native code.

On Android based phone or tablet, it is a mess.

Is it that Android-based webkit browsers are not as mature regarding HTML 5? Trying to understand the general context and understanding between both platform browser capabilities.

any help or experience would be greatly appreciated in helping this disappointed dude. ( not disappointed in Sencha, it is awesome, i am disappointed in android)

    thanks

Using Sencha Touch 1.1.1 (which was mainly android fixes), it is a lot better. In one of my apps, my Android phone (Evo) scrolled better than my iPad2
