I use tooltip according to ext example, but i wanna do it only once, i dun wanna render it again and again as my tooltip is ajax-based. i have written a if clause to prevent that happening, but how to detect if a element has been decorated with ext tooltip???

The QuickTip example, if you inspect the page, seems to put a class of "qtip-target" on the element that has a tip. Perhaps you could check the element for the presence of that class?
