new com.sencha components and legacy components work together
I see gxt 3 is a complete rewrite, but does include legacy.jar. is it quite ok to to part of an app using the legacy widgets and go to the new widgets for new features?
You can put a GXT 2 widget into a GXT 3 container, however resizing will not work as expected. There is no backward compatibility layer.
The legacy jar contains the old data binding, the old MVC, the old XTemplate and all the ModelData stuff. However it does not containy any bridge to make GXT 2 work with GXT 3 directly.

I've been testing GXT3 contained within our GXT2 based system, and it's been playing nice.
If I remember correctly, I even tried adding a GXT2 component within the GXT3 container, and it still played nice in terms of working.
This is ignoring the whole resizing thing ofcourse. But I am able to manually listen to resize events and workaround it until everything is transitioned within our system.
This is nice, as we can transition parts of our system. Hopefully start with the scaffolding and outer app, and then upgrade the views etc as required.
