    Default Answered: Calling super of parent function

    Suppose I have an inheritance hierarchy

    class A{
    function foo();
    }
    class B extends A{
    function foo();
    }
    class C extends B{
    function foo();
    }

    in sencha touch 1.x
    to call a super function foo() defined on A from class C's foo(), i simply use the pythonic way of

    A.foo.apply(this, args)

    however in sencha touch 2.x this calling convention seem to have been replaced by the "callParent(args)" mechanism but there doesn't seem to be a good way to call the grandparents or other classes higher in the he hierarchy.

  2. You can try:

    Code:
    A.prototype.foo.call(this);
