Default Unanswered: Charts - grouping columns

Without consolidating multiple column series into a single column series (as the grouped bar chart example does: http://docs.sencha.com/ext-js/4-0/#!...roupedBar.html) is there a way to group columns or bars?

Consolidating multiple series into a single series causes myriad problems with dynamically specifying colors, with border line styles, with border line colors vs fill colors, and with specifying custom rendering for the individual column series.

This is the only way to specify the fields as an array in one series.
