Success! Looks like we've fixed this one. According to our records the fix was applied for
a recent build.
2 of the 5 servers running the licensing checks are failing. They will be updated tomorrow.
Still receiving the same error
An Update: I am still receiving this error on my home MB Pro running OS X 10.7.2 - not behind any proxy, although I am behind the typical home NAT gateway.
When running from work on a different mac (also running 10.7.2) from behind a corporate proxy the beta1 loaded fine...
The older Ext Designer xds-18.104.22.168 continues to load fine on both computers.
Aaron - Still waiting for our ops guys to be willing to reboot the servers. Hopefully this resolves your issue.

For me, sencha designer 2 still return "A communication error has occurred." during the login.
I'm on ubuntu 10.04 64bits.
Still not working for me: Unable to establish internet connection to begin software..

we've updated our installers for Linux which will fix some of the issues for registration. Get the new installers here http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthre...386#post666386
I'm having the same issue (A communication error has occurred).
No proxy. Running on Windows Vista.
Tried running with and without Firewall/Antivirus.
