    Default xtype replaces alias?

    instead of alias?

What are we supposed to use instead of alias? I read in the release notes that it has been deprecated in favor of xtype, but whether I use xtype or alias I get the error message:

Cannot create an instance of unrecognized alias: widget.mainMenu

You can still use alias. xtype just makes it a little easier to create an alias for the widgets.

I use alias on my stores to create a type so that I can refer to that in my dataviews/lists

Thanks for the reply. My point is that our application broke since moving to RC. Right now we cannot use the release candidate because all places where we have widget.xxx alias it is broken.

Cannot create an instance of unrecognized alias: widget.mainMenu

This appears to be similar to the Ext issue which is marked as fixed: http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?124827-FIXED-Cannot-create-an-instance-of-unrecognized-alias-widget.grid&p=740886#post740886

    Default Anyone?

Is there any resolution to this? RC is not usable for us right now.

    Thanks.
