Answered: Android Standalone Detection
Is anybody having any luck using Ext.browser.is.Standalone to see if the application has been launched from the home screen?
I'm working on an install to home screen plugin for my company and the Android piece isn't working. iOS works great (as expected), but Android is not (go figure.
What are you guys seeing?
I wasn't aware that Android you can install to the home screen, thought you could just have a shortcut to the page.

Correct. Droid doesn't respect all the rules that iOS does, but, I have seen this work with Cynogen mods for android. Was just wishing somebody had came up with a solution for standard droid. I really should have stated the question different so it wasn't an install web app but launch from bookmark in standalone mode.
