Touch Charts - Export to PDF or save as image Format PNG / JPEG
Is there any feature in Touch charts1.0 to export it in a spreadsheet or PDF or either saving as image format.
As mentioned in Ext js 4.1 is there any option to save charts.
is there any idea to include this feature in touch charts 2.0 or in sencha touch??
save( Object config )Saves the chart by either triggering a download or returning a string containing the chart data. The action depends on the export type specified in the passed configuration.
Possible export types: - "image/png" - "image/svg+xml"
Other configuration properties: - width
- config : Object(required) Object which contains information about the export-type
Or else if these option are not available is there any other way to achieve this.
Any work around appreciated.
It looks like Touch Charts 2 will have the save method and SVG exporter.
thats good to hear
Oh.. Thanks for the news mitchell. Where can i find the docs for touch charts2.0.
Is there any workround for charts exporting to pdf or converting to SVG format.
Gimme some brief idea for achieving this.
Touch Charts 2 is not available quite yet but will be soon.
I'm using Sencha Touch Charts, and i would like to know if the save method is available.
Yeah it would be absolutely awesome to be able to save as PDF.
Just wondering if anyone has made any progress with this. I'm working on a project for a client that renders a chart based on user input data (straight forward enough ), but then also needs to email a PDF version of the data. PDF generation and emailing attachments I have figured out a strategy for, but I can't seem to find a way to export a sencha chart to an image file for use with JSPDF.
Frustrating, as clearly the image data must exist there somewhere, even if it takes a low level DOM interaction to retrieve it.
It would seem like a crime to use a 3rd party chart library to achieve this, when the new Sencha Chart library does such a great job, but I really need to get the image data so I can embed it in a PDF.
I didn't figure anything out. So if anyone has a solution to make this work, then I'd be still interested too.
