Default Unanswered: PINCH apart on List View to insert record

I've been combing the forums and haven't been able to find anything. Add to this the fact that it's really hard to test pinch gestures, I'm at a loss.

I'm trying to set up a specific UI for my app. I have a list view. Let's say it's this:

    Item 1
    Item 2
    Item 3
    Item 4

I want to be able to pinch apart item 2 and item 3 at the same time to insert a new item in between the items. I don't know if the pinch event can handle pinching of two different dom elements.

    Any ideas? Thanks!

Sounds like it's not pinch but two drags
