    Default How to hide axis ticks or steps in extjs 4.0.7 chart

    Hi,

    I have requirement to hide the x axis (ticks and labels) .Anybody knows please tell me how to hide
    the ticks,I am able to hide the labels based on below thread approach

    http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthre...els-on-a-chart

    It hides only the label ,not the ticks,Basically my chart x axis will keep grow(more than 150 steps with in 20 minutes),If i look at steps alone (label hidden)in xaxis it so weird to see....

    so please anybody have an idea to remove this ticks or steps

    Thanks in Advance

    Set the Axis dashSize to 0.

    axes: {
    type: 'Numeric',
    dashSize: 0,
    drawLabel: function () { return null; }
    }

    will just draw the axis with no ticks or labels.

    Hiding an axis hides the labels and tick-marks along the axis. Pie and doughnut charts do not have axes.

    Click the chart in which you want to display or hide axes.
    On the Chart menu, click Chart Options, and then click the Axes tab.
    Select the check boxes for the axes you want to display.
    Clear the check boxes for the axes you want to hide.
