IE9 - left click doesn't correctly switch focus between fields
Version(s) of Ext GWT Ext GWT 3.0 Release Candidate 2
Browser version Internet Explorer 9
Description When left clicking a field after entering any text in another field the focus is not set correctly.
1. Select any field with left click (e.g. "Email")
2. Enter any text
3. Select "Age" field by left click
This issue does not occur if no text is entered in the field.
Expected results • "Age" field should only allow numbers as input
• "Age" field should have "focused" style (blue borders)
• Input should be validated after the field loses focus
Actual results • No focus style on "Age" field
• Any characters can be entered
• No validation when field loses focus
I just opened a bug, but a little bit more testing seems to show that this has already been fixed. You can test this in our nightly build of the Explorer demo: http://staging.sencha.com:8080/examp...e:formsexample. I'll close the bug as can't-reproduce. Please post a reply if you continue to notice this problem with the nightly build.
Thanks for your investigations, I just checked the nightly build and re-checked the RC2 sample. The problem still occurs, it seems to be IE9 only (IE9 browser mode and IE9 standard document mode). Everything works fine with IE8 or Firefox(es)/Chrome.
After loading the forms sample, only left-click the "Email" field, type some random characters without pressing enter and left-click the "Age" field. The focus is not correctly set then and the validators are inactive. This doesn't sound like a big issue, but in our "Change Password" view it ends up telling IE9 users, who change fields using the mouse, that 2 of 3 password fields are not filled out although they are.
