Thread: toggle button 'pressed' state does not show in toolbar overflow menu

    Success! Looks like we've fixed this one. According to our records the fix was applied for EXTJS-5999 in a recent build.

    Default toggle button 'pressed' state does not show in toolbar overflow menu

    I have a toolbar with some toggle buttons and buttons that are in their pressed state on the toolbar do not show as pressed in the overflow menu.

    Code:
                //create the bottom toolbar
                bbar: {
                    layout: {
                        overflowHandler: 'Menu'
                    },
                    items: [
                        me.saveBulkButton,
                        me.clearBulkChangesButton,
                        me.editingBulkButton,
                        {
                            xtype: 'tbseparator',
                            style: {
                                paddingTop: '6px'
                            }
                        },
                        me.editingFieldButton
                    ]
                },

    interesting conundrum. Obviously, we'll have to come up with some fix somehow.

    But the items in the overflow menu are MenuItems, not buttons. As such, they do not have a "pressed" state.

    Not sure what we could do here.

    I will submit a ticket for this.

    Maybe you could render a check box for the overflow items that are toggle buttons?where a checked box would be equiv to a toggled button....

    An Ext.menu.CheckItem?

    Checked == Pressed?

    Good idea. I'll mention this to the team when we look at this issue.

    It also looks like Button.setText will have to find its way through to the corresponding overflow menu item.

    So the text gets changed to "FIELD edit is OFF" when it gets unchecked (toggled)

    Yeah, that's what I was thinking. (Edit: the comment is in reference to your first reply about using Ext.menu.CheckItem.)
