Why add "flex" property manually?
One of the Architect guides tells us to add the "flex" property manually in some panels.
I wonder why we have to do that?
Wouldn't it be better if all necessary properties were available and we can just scroll and edit them.
Better that Architect takes care of that so we don't need to know what properties to add and so on.
Designer 1.2 used to do just that, and it was a huge pain in the butt. For some components the list of available properties was nigh on infinite and it was almost impossible to tell what was and wasn't useful.
In my opinion the learning curve is much smaller this way.
They have a config for displaying important fields only. That should take care of the long list of available properties.
It's a PITA having to remember to add fields!
The flex configuration will be injected into any component which has a parent with a vbox or hbox layout.
Provide me a link to the errant documentation and I will ensure the docwriters handle this.
Then why did the guide tells us to add a custom "flex" property?
