OK, even after reading the docs on this, I still don't seem to understand the various properties related to css classes, basically everything ending in 'cls'. Specifically: cls, componentCls, baseCls, bodyCls. I feel some energy emanating from these properties telling me that there is some real power there, but I cannot harness it.
For example, lets say I have an Ext panel that I want rounded corners on the outer panel container. I create this class for that (ignoring x-browser for simplicity):
I have applied this class individually to each of the *cls properties mentioned above but none seem to actually apply the border radius (well, bodyCls actually does, but only on the content part of the panel, below the header). Looking in Firebug, I see numerous classes applied to the panel's DOM element, including my 'ContentPanel' class, so on a DOM level I understand that I'm not getting the desired effect because of all of the other classes in the mix.
So, the question is which property or combination of properties will help achieve something like this? I did Google around on this looking for primers, but to no avail. If anyone knows of anything helpful, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
Here is a second 'hypothetical' case that might help.
I have a (floating) panel, that I want to have a transparent background and no borders on, so I define this class:
As in my first post, I have applied the various *cls properties here without success. . .
