Default visualizing non printing characters in htmleditor or textarea

    hi guys,

I'm wondering if there is a way to add some kind of visual thing to show a user who is using the htmleditor or a simple textarea that a newline or carriage return is entered. In word for example there is this button show non printable characters that will print dots for every tab and a special character at the end of a line where a newline character is set.

How can I accomplisch something similar? any ideas?

    regards,

    Michael

I have not seen any extensions for this, but you could most likely create one yourself by overriding the function in the htmlEditor code.

There are also plugins that allow other editors to be used that may already support this:

    Regards,
    Scott.
